When you can say the hard thing clearly and people trust you for it

I can walk into almost any conversation now, the tense ones, the delicate ones, and say the true thing clearly and with care. What still surprises me is what it's built: people come to me with the hard stuff because they know I'll be straight with them and kind at the same time. That trust took years, and I don't take it lightly.
