When you can write a great page but not a whole book

I can write a good page. A strong paragraph, a clean sentence, that I've got. But asking me to hold that quality across a whole long piece is where I fall apart. Somewhere in the middle it sags, I lose the thread, and the ending never quite matches the promise of the start. The big shape keeps slipping through my fingers.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

You can write well in small pieces but can't hold the quality across a whole work.
