I hand something off, and within a day I've quietly pulled it back to redo it myself. Nobody does it the way I would, and that gap feels unbearable to leave alone. I know I should let go, and every time I try, my hands reach back for it.
More people experience this than they realize.
You can't hand work off without reclaiming and redoing it yourself.
