When you can't tell if you're being careful or just anxious

I've added another safety margin to the design, and part of me knows it's smart. Another part wonders if I'm just quieting my own nerves by over-building something that was already fine. Somewhere there's a line between real rigor and anxious over-engineering, and I keep losing sight of where it is.
