I'm starting to farm with the land instead of against it, reading the soil and the seasons better than I used to. But then a storm rolls in that I can do nothing about, and the old helplessness grabs me by the throat. I've made progress, and still there are nights I lie awake at the mercy of weather I'll never control.
More people experience this than they realize.
You're learning to work with the land, but being helpless against the weather still eats at you.
