When you hold everyone's suffering but have no one

I offer spiritual care in hospital rooms and prison cells, to people of every belief and no belief at all. I hold so much suffering in a week, and at the end of it I go home to no congregation of my own, no circle that holds me the way I hold everyone else. The loneliness of it is the part nobody warns you about.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

You hold others' suffering across every belief but have no community of your own, and it's lonely.
