There was a year where I gave so much at work that I had nothing left for anyone, including myself. I'd go home hollow and short with the people I love. Now I've learned to fill back up before I run dry, to keep a little of myself so there's something real to give. I can care again, and it doesn't cost me everything.
More people experience this than they realize.
You've learned to refill yourself so you can keep caring without running empty.
If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
