I've grown to love the residents I care for. I know their stories, their little habits, the way they like their coffee. When they pass, it breaks my heart, and yet the place treats me like I'm easily replaced, just another warm body. Carrying that grief and that insult at the same time, shift after shift, is a lot.
More people experience this than they realize.
You lose residents you've come to love while being treated as disposable.
If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
