When you manage the numbers and their politics instead

I became the analytics manager, and now I answer for a team's output and, worse, the politics of what the numbers are allowed to say. I loved the analysis itself, the honest work of finding what's actually true in the data. Now I spend my day defending other people's findings in rooms where the answer was decided before we started.
