When someone tells me I'm on the right track, I light up and thank them for the great input. When someone suggests I've got the whole thing pointed the wrong way, I nod politely and quietly file it under "doesn't get it." I call myself open to feedback, but really I only welcome the kind that agrees with me.
More people experience this than they realize.
You welcome feedback that agrees with you and ignore feedback that would change your course.
If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
