I've noticed a pattern I'm not proud of: when someone's honest with me about where I fell short, I pull back from them afterward. Less warmth, fewer opportunities, a little cooler. I don't mean to punish the honesty, but I watch myself do it anyway.
More people experience this than they realize.
Without meaning to, you pull back from the people who are honest with you.
If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
