I've learned to handle the flood of calls and letters from the people I serve, most days I keep my head above water. But some of them expect me to fix things no one could fix, and to do it yesterday. When I can't work a miracle they treat me like I've betrayed them, and the weight of all that impossible hope buries me.
More people experience this than they realize.
You can serve constituents, but their impossible expectations still bury you.
If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
