When you understand why so many in your field break

I know the numbers on how many people in my profession take their own lives, and the part that scares me is that I understand why. The grief comes in every day, and so do the impossible choices where there's no good answer for the animal or the family. Some nights I feel how heavy this really is, and I get why so many of us don't make it.
