I signed off on something today that will touch the lives of thousands of people I will never meet or see. From my desk it's just numbers and paragraphs, but out there it's real families, real hardships, real futures. The sheer abstraction of it, deciding for people who are only statistics to me, honestly scares me.
More people experience this than they realize.
Your decisions affect thousands of strangers you'll never meet, and that distance frightens you.
If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
