I realized this week that I only ever call people when I need something from them. Every conversation at work is a transaction, in and out. Now I'm facing a hard stretch and looking around for someone to lean on, and there's really no one who'd call me a friend.
More people experience this than they realize.
You only connect with people when you need something and have no real relationships.
If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
