When something's wrong with the product, I'm the one the customer yells at, even though I didn't build it and can't change it. I'm supposed to keep them happy while I have zero say over the roadmap. So I absorb the anger and promise fixes I can't guarantee. I'm the face of decisions I never got to make.
More people experience this than they realize.
You're blamed for a product you don't control and can't change.
