When you're essential to the work but treated as replaceable

I run the tests that the whole diagnosis depends on, careful and exact, checking every number twice. But nobody outside the lab knows my name, and the way I'm talked about, any warm body could do it. It's a strange thing to be needed by everyone and seen by no one, essential and replaceable at the same time.
