When you're new and scared of costing money or a finger

I'm still new on the floor, and every time I set up a part I'm sweating that I'll scrap something that costs more than my paycheck. Half my brain is on the job and half is making sure I don't lose a finger to a machine that doesn't forgive. The older guys watch me fumble and don't exactly go out of their way to help.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

You're new, afraid of an expensive mistake or an injury, and the veterans won't make it easy.

If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
