Our community potluck used to feel welcoming but now it's become this unspoken hierarchy where certain cultural dishes get more attention and praise than others. Those of us whose traditions don't photograph well or aren't familiar to most people are starting to feel like our contributions don't matter, but no one wants to be the one to bring up that our multicultural event isn't actually inclusive.
