When group somatic therapy becomes dysregulating instead of healing

Our trauma therapy group is supposed to be practicing pendulation together but half of us keep getting stuck in activation and the other half check out completely and our facilitator seems overwhelmed by trying to track everyone's nervous systems at once.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A therapy group practicing somatic techniques is experiencing collective dysregulation that the container cannot adequately hold or guide back to safety.
