When couples return to school and discover different learning philosophies

My partner and I both went back to school in our forties and we're discovering we have completely different relationships to learning itself — they thrive on structure and clear answers while I need to sit with uncertainty and explore tangents, and it's creating tension in how we support each other through this. We've started avoiding talking about our classes because every conversation becomes a subtle argument about the 'right' way to engage with ideas.
