When couples disagree about what productivity and organization mean

My partner and I keep having this fight about how we organize our days and it's never really about the dishes or the schedule — it's about the fact that they think being productive means having systems for everything and I think it means being present for what actually matters and we've never said that out loud. We just keep arguing about who didn't do what when the real question is whether we're even trying to build the same kind of life together.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people are living in the same space with fundamentally different philosophies about how to structure daily life, but they're fighting about logistics instead of examining the deeper question of what kind of shared existence they're trying to create.
