When political groups become intellectually rigid

Our discussion group formed around shared political values, but as the world has gotten more polarized, I've noticed we've all become more rigid in our thinking and less willing to examine our own assumptions. We're so focused on being on the right side that we've stopped asking whether our positions actually make sense or serve the people we claim to care about.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

The shared commitment to being on the right side of important issues has paradoxically made your group less capable of the kind of questioning that might lead to more effective action.
