I'm the only Black person on our leadership team and when we discuss company culture, my colleagues keep talking about 'culture fit' in ways that feel coded, but when I try to address it they say I'm being too sensitive. We're not actually hearing each other and it's affecting every hiring decision we make.
More people experience this than they realize.
