When queer business partners disagree about professional visibility and authenticity

My business partner and I started this company together and we're both queer, but as we've grown we're realizing we have very different philosophies about how visible our sexual orientation should be in our professional brand and client relationships. She thinks authenticity means full visibility and I think it means not letting other people's potential biases limit our business opportunities, and it's affecting decisions about everything from marketing to which events we attend.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people must navigate competing definitions of integrity when personal identity intersects with professional strategy and financial security.
