When business partners have different class backgrounds affecting decisions

My business partner grew up wealthy and I grew up poor and when we make decisions about pricing or employee benefits, we're operating from completely different assumptions about what people can afford and what's 'reasonable' but we've never addressed this directly. We keep having these circular conversations where neither of us understands why the other is being so stubborn about what seems obvious.
