My co-founder and I started this nonprofit because we both experienced food insecurity growing up, but now that we're scaling, she wants to professionalize everything and I feel like we're losing the grassroots connection that made this work in the first place. We keep having the same circular argument about growth versus authenticity and I don't think either of us is hearing what the other is really afraid of losing.
