When organizing partners disagree on whether mass incarceration is about race or class

My co-organizer and I disagree about whether mass incarceration is fundamentally about race or class - they see it as primarily racial oppression while I think economic inequality is the deeper driver - and it's affecting how we frame our campaign messaging. We're both looking at the same statistics but drawing completely different conclusions about what needs to change.
