When facilitators disagree about forgiveness in community healing processes

My community partner and I are facilitating a healing circle for families affected by violence, but we're realizing we have different ideas about whether forgiveness should be part of the process. Some participants want space to move toward forgiveness while others feel pressured by that expectation, and we need to navigate this without imposing our own beliefs.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people are discovering that their different relationships to forgiveness are affecting how they hold space for others' healing journeys.
