When coworkers of color have different strategies for addressing workplace bias

My coworker and I are the only two people of color on our team and we handle workplace bias completely differently - she speaks up in meetings when things happen and I tend to address it privately later, and lately it feels like we're undermining each other's approaches without meaning to. We both want things to change but we're not aligned on how to make that happen and it's creating tension between us when we should be supporting each other.
