When creative partners have conflicting priorities due to different circumstances

My creative collaborator and I have been working together for three years, and lately they've been pushing for us to take on bigger, more commercial projects while I want to keep focusing on experimental work that might not pay as well. We haven't directly addressed the fact that we're in different financial situations and that's driving our different priorities.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

External pressures are creating internal tensions in a partnership, but the underlying practical differences remain unspoken.
