My musical duo partner and I have been performing together for three years and we're both queer, but they recently came out as trans and want to change our stage presence and some of our songs to reflect that, and I'm struggling with feeling like our artistic identity is shifting in ways I didn't choose. I want to support them but I also feel like I'm losing something I helped create.
