When atheist couples disagree about raising children without religion

My partner and I are both atheists but we approach secular parenting completely differently — I want our kids to understand religious traditions as cultural literacy while she thinks any exposure normalizes belief systems we fundamentally disagree with. We're stuck because we both feel like the other approach compromises our values and our kids are starting to ask direct questions about why some families go to church.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people share core secular values but discover their approaches to transmitting those values create unexpected conflict about boundaries and compromise.
