My research team includes people from different academic disciplines and we're supposed to be doing interdisciplinary work, but we keep defaulting to whoever speaks most confidently rather than actually integrating our different expertise. I feel like we're missing the whole point of collaboration but I don't know how to change the dynamic without seeming like I'm criticizing my colleagues.
