When exploring sexual orientation changes dynamics with roommates and close friends

My roommates and I have been living together for two years and I recently started dating someone of the same gender for the first time, and now there's this weird energy in the house where some of them are asking lots of questions and others are being overly casual about it and I can't tell if I'm being sensitive or if they're actually treating me differently. We used to talk about dating and relationships easily but now everything feels loaded and I don't know how to get back to normal.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A living group must recalibrate their intimacy and communication patterns when one person's identity exploration shifts the social equilibrium.
