When partners disagree about political involvement and activism

My wife and I are both lesbians but she wants us to be more involved in local politics while I'm burned out from years of activism, and we're struggling because she sees my withdrawal as privilege while I see her push for more engagement as not respecting my boundaries. We're supposed to be on the same side but it feels like we're judging each other's choices about how to be queer in the world.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people are discovering that sharing an identity doesn't mean agreeing on how to live it publicly.
