When long-term queer couples face community displacement and aging

My wife and I have been together for fifteen years and we're both noticing that the lesbian community we came up in doesn't really exist anymore - the bars closed, the organizations disbanded, and now we're in our forties trying to figure out where we belong in a queer landscape that looks completely different. We feel disconnected from community but also don't know how to rebuild it together.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people are grieving the loss of the community structures that once held them while trying to create belonging in a changed landscape.
