When adoption communities can't hold space for parenting struggles

Our adoption support group has become divided between people who are open about their struggles with attachment and bonding with their adopted children and people who seem to only want to share positive experiences and I feel like we're not allowed to talk about the hardest parts.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A support community is splitting between those who need to process difficult truths and those who feel protective of a positive narrative around adoptive parenting.
