Our community group started as a local history preservation society but since the protests two years ago we're constantly fighting about which stories to tell and whose version of patriotism gets to define our town's identity. Some of us want to address the harder truths about our local history and others feel like that's unpatriotic and divisive.
More people experience this than they realize.
