Our community organizing group is trying to fight gentrification but we're realizing that some of us are the gentrifiers - we're the educated newcomers who moved here because it was affordable - and now we don't know how to authentically work alongside longtime residents. Every meeting feels like we're performing allyship rather than actually building power together.
