When transgender employee groups disagree on visibility strategies

Our employee resource group has been planning our first Trans Day of Visibility event and half the group wants something visible and celebratory while the other half is worried about safety and drawing unwanted attention. We're supposed to be supporting each other but we can't agree on what support looks like.
