Our LGBTQ+ employee resource group is split between people who think we should focus on workplace policy changes and people who think we should prioritize visibility and community building, and underneath it there's this unspoken tension about who gets to define what authentic queer advocacy looks like in a corporate setting. The meetings have gotten tense and some people have stopped coming.
