When mutual aid groups struggle with unequal participation

Our mutual aid group started during the pandemic with this beautiful energy of people helping each other, but now it's mostly the same five people doing all the work while everyone else just shows up when they need something. We're burning out but we also don't want to create barriers or make people feel judged for how much they can contribute.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Care-based communities often struggle to balance accessibility with sustainability when contribution levels become dramatically unequal.
