How neighborhood groups bridge racial divides around gentrification

Our neighborhood association is trying to address gentrification and displacement but the longtime Black residents have different priorities than the newer white residents who are concerned about being part of the problem. We want the same things but we keep talking past each other and meanwhile rents keep rising.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A community is struggling to build solidarity across racial lines when the structural forces they're fighting also shape their relationships to each other.
