Our neighborhood council is trying to address gentrification and displacement, but the longtime residents and newer residents keep talking past each other about what the problems even are. I've been here for five years and I feel caught in the middle, wanting to build bridges but not sure I understand either perspective deeply enough to help us find common ground.
