When anti-gentrification efforts surface tensions between long-term residents and recent arrivals

Our neighborhood council is trying to address gentrification and some of us have been here for generations and some of us are newer residents who moved here because it was affordable, and we all care about the community but we're realizing we mean different things by that. The long-term residents feel like we newcomers are part of the problem even when we're trying to help, and we're all walking on eggshells instead of having real conversations.
