When diverse communities can't agree on desired police involvement

Our neighborhood watch group includes both longtime residents and newer immigrant families and we can't agree on what kind of police presence we want in our community. The established residents want more patrols for property crime while the immigrant families are worried about immigration enforcement and over-policing of their kids.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Community groups struggle to advocate for public safety when members have conflicting relationships with law enforcement based on cultural and immigration status.
