When activist groups struggle to align decision-making with stated responsibilities

Our organizing group always talks about centering the most impacted voices, but when it comes to actual decision-making the people with more time and resources end up driving everything because they can come to more meetings and write longer emails. We all recognize the problem but can't figure out how to change it without asking people to take on even more unpaid labor to fix a system that already doesn't work for them.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A group is trapped between their principles about equity and the practical realities of how participation works when people have different capacities.
