Our parent-teacher organization says they want more diverse involvement but all the meetings are during work hours and assume someone can volunteer for elaborate fundraisers. My friend and I have been pushing for changes but we're told 'this is how we've always done things' and that we should be grateful for the quality education our kids are getting.
