When activist groups disagree on strategy and tactics

Our volunteer organization has been working on the same issue for years with the same strategies and I think we need to try a more confrontational approach, but the older members are worried about alienating allies and losing respectability. Every strategy meeting turns into the same generational divide and we're spending more time arguing about tactics than actually doing the work.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A group united around shared goals is struggling with fundamental disagreements about methods that reflect deeper differences in how they understand power and change.
